What does Life
Make us
Become?

I'm becoming
A rock
Unmoving and stationary.

Because
I don't want to
Need anyone.

I don't want to
Love anyone.

I don't want to be
Happy with anyone.

I don't want to
Know anyone.

Because the need
Will turn to empty choices and lost treasures,
Quickly forgotten.

Because the love
Will change to
Dysfunctional warps and soured ambivalence,
Slowly saturating.

Because the happiness
Will transform to
Afflicted misery and lingering detachment,
Halting life.

Because the knowledge
Will alternate to
Inane ignorance and smug neglect,
Shrugging away all understanding.

Because all of my days I've wasted
Too much
On everyone here.

They all have stolen
All my pieces,
Scattering me to the winds.

One of these days perhaps I'll become what I am meant to be…

But now, I don't want anyone
or anything.

Becoming nothing is all I need, love, desire, and know.

Another one I wrote a while ago. I never put it up because I wasn’t at all happy with the result, but finally, I figured to just leave it as is, because despite my efforts, it wasn’t “becoming” any better.
